Westboro, MA July 3, 2001 Ascential Software Corporation (Nasdaq: ASCL), the information asset management market leader, today announced that its previous ticker symbol "IFMX" has been changed to "ASCL". Informix Corporation recently sold its database business to IBM for $1 billion, and Informix was renamed Ascential Software Corporation, which is the continuing business of the company. The company's stock will begin trading today under the ASCL ticker symbol.
