U.S. Army Selects CorVu for Strategic Readiness System

Army's Balanced Scorecard Will Measure and Analyze Readiness

Minneapolis - 30 July 2002 CorVu Corporation (OTC BB: CRVU), a leading provider of enterprise performance management solutions, today announced that the U.S. Army has selected CorVu's CorManage to automate its Balanced Scorecard, the centerpiece of the Strategic Readiness System (SRS).

The SRS, a project with a total budget estimated at $30 million over the next six years, was developed to measure and manage Army readiness for the Secretary of the Army (SA) and Gen. Eric K. Shinseki, the Chief of Staff of the Army (CSA), who directed his Deputy Chief for Operations and Plans "to develop a readiness reporting system that is accurate, objective and timely in its measurement of the Army's ability to support the National Military Strategy and allows the CSA to direct resources in order to influence readiness across the Army."

Working with the Balanced Scorecard Collaborative, Inc. (BSCol) and Booz Allen Hamilton, the Army selected CorVu from a field of leading providers of Balanced Scorecard applications. CorManage, combined with CorVu's HyperVu and RapidScorecard, provides the Army with an integrated enterprise performance management solution encompassing business intelligence and Balanced Scorecard. As a result, high-level strategic management is linked directly to daily operational analytics, facilitating effective management and communication throughout the Army, Major Commands and Minor Commands.

The Army will measure its readiness, transformation and sound business practices, ensuring that it delivers a "trained and ready force for today and the future"; focus on enhancing well-being, promoting Army values and improving and implementing leader development programs; ensure appropriate resource allocation including funding, people, time, institutions, installation and infrastructure; and monitor alignment to its stakeholder mission: "to serve the American people, protect enduring national interests, and fulfill national military responsibilities."
