Genesys Conferencing to Provide Access to Web Conferencing Services via HP Jornada 928 Wireless Digital Assistant

Denver, Colorado and Montpellier, France -July 31, 2002 -- Genesys Conferencing, the world's leading conferencing specialist, and Hewlett-Packard Company, a leading global provider of products, technologies, solutions and services to consumers and businesses, today announced an agreement to integrate and deliver a trial offer of Genesys Meeting Center on the HP Jornada 928 WDA, a new wireless device that allows management of voice, data and personal information.

Genesys Meeting Center is the first fully integrated conferencing platform that allows users to conduct web-based virtual meetings with all of the benefits of face-to-face interaction. A customized interface has been created specifically for use on this device, as well as a dedicated web page for access to Genesys Meeting Center.

The HP Jornada 928 seamlessly integrates the functions of a full-color Pocket PC with GSM / GPRS enabled phone capabilities. In addition to the management of voice, data and information, the HP Jornada 928 delivers an always-on connection to the Internet for access to web-based information, services and email.

One free month of Genesys Meeting Center service (for up to 15 participants) will be available upon purchase of the HP Jornada 928, as part of a pilot program launching the product in the United Kingdom. HP is looking to expand the offer to the remainder of Europe, following an evaluation of the success of the HP Jornada 928 in the UK.

"The ability to collaborate remotely is crucial for today's business professional," said Denise Axelsson, Vice President of Group Marketing for Genesys Conferencing. Genesys is pleased to enter the wireless space by making Genesys Meeting Center available to even more users on the go. Our joint effort with HP will deliver the most reliable conferencing and collaboration services, while providing a live, interactive environment from the HP Jornada 928 WDA."

"Our relationship with Genesys Conferencing, the world's leading conferencing specialist allows HP to deliver an attractive offer to mobile professionals," said Jurgen Anthoni, HP WDA product manager, EMEA. "Access to a virtual conference room, 24x7 from a wireless digital assistant means users can always be connected, wherever their business takes them."

This first integration on a hand held device also means integration of Genesys Meeting Center with other wireless personal digital assistants is now possible. Genesys Meeting Center has enjoyed tremendous success since it was launched in October 2001 as the first collaboration platform that fully integrates audio and web conferencing through the Internet. New features available in Genesys Meeting Center 2.0 provide advanced meeting functionality through the integration of audio, web and desktop multipoint video, enhanced Microsoft Outlook Calendar support and Microsoft MSN Messenger.
