MINNEAPOLIS – June 27, 2002– Adaytum, the leading provider of enterprise business planning (EBP) solutions, today announced a series of software-license contracts with two municipal agencies for the company’s new Adaytum e.Planning Public Sector, a specially designed version of its acclaimed EBP solution for education and government organizations. The City of Cleveland’s Division of Water and the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas have recently signed licensing contracts for Adaytum e.Planning Public Sector. Collectively, the agreements encompass hundreds of public-agency employees using the software for expense planning, revenue forecasting, budget management, and reporting. Jointly developed by Adaytum and Accenture with critical review by the Government Finance Officers Organization (GFOA), Adaytum e.Planning Public Sector is an education and government-oriented version of the company’s acclaimed solution for EBP. It is based on National Advisory Council on State and Local Budgeting (NACSLB)-recommended practices. Adaytum e.Planning Public Sector includes pre-configured applications that feature an intuitive end-user interface and powerful analytical tools tailored specifically for public sector use. The City of Cleveland will deploy Adaytum e.Planning Public Sector in its Division of Water for expense planning and budgeting processes that are integrated with its PeopleSoft financial applications. The Division currently serves more than 400,000 customer accounts with an annual budget of $218 million. The Adaytum solution – to be implemented in partnership with Deloitte Consulting -- replaces a spreadsheet-based forecasting system. At the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas, Adaytum e.Planning Public Sector will drive organization-wide budgeting and planning of capital and operating expenses and will support cash flow analysis for future periods. The Authority will deploy the Adaytum solution to 175 contributors.
