Clapper, director of the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), and Preetha Pulusani, president of Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions will deliver keynote addresses at GeoSpatial World 2003. GeoSpatial World is an international forum for training, networking, and gaining industry insight, focused on expanding the application of geospatial information. General Clapper, the first civilian director of NIMA, retired as a Lieutenant General from the United States Air Force after a 32-year career. A previous director in corporate and government intelligence organizations, Clapper will discuss NIMA's creation of a new discipline known as geospatial intelligence. By integrating imagery intelligence and geospatial information, NIMA has extended the value of both types of data. Pulusani, a 20-year veteran of the geospatial field and long-time Intergraph leader, will open the conference with information on advances in geospatial business, solutions, and technology, including Intergraph's role in the industry's progress. Her presentation will spotlight customers' practical and enterprise applications of geospatial data in desktop, Web, and mobile implementations. The keynote speeches will complement a three-day program filled with technology sessions, user presentations, workshop and training courses, networking opportunities, and exhibits that highlight innovative ideas to maximize the use of geospatial technology and solutions across the enterprise. Sponsored by the Intergraph GeoSpatial Users Community and Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions, GeoSpatial World is targeted at decision makers, managers, staff, and users who create or use geospatial information technology to meet needs in academia or in the public or private sector.
