Intelligroup Develops ScorPac to Easily Assess Supply Chain Effectiveness In SAP(R) Solutions

Proprietary Tool Allows Companies to Set Benchmarks Against Industry Standards To Target Areas for Increased Productivity and Return on Investment

ORLANDO, Fla., June 16, 2003 -- Intelligroup, Inc., a leading global provider of strategic IT outsourcing services, today announced that it has released ScorPac, a tool to assess the performance of companies' supply chain practices. ScorPac quickly compiles data from the SAP(R) R/3(R) software solution and delivers specific metrics, as defined in the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model. The SCOR model was developed by the Supply Chain Council, a consortium of more than 1,000 members dedicated to developing standards for improving supply chain activities. Today's announcement was made at SAPPHIRE(R) 2003 Orlando, SAP's international customer conference.

ScorPac provides statistical information in the critical process to Plan, Source, Make and Deliver, incorporating the best practices for supply chain effectiveness as defined by the SCOR model. Appropriate for simple or complex supply chains, ScorPac provides a quick and easy way to compare the supply chain operations with industry standards or with a different supply chain in an organization. In addition to predefined metrics built into the tool, additional customer-specific metrics can be benchmarked as required. While causing no system disruption, ScorPac collects the base data from the transactional engine in a SAP R/3-based system to compute the metrics in the Scorecard eventually presented.

This service is a significant timesaving tool for clients, providing an easy way to download this information from the SAP solution. Once the data is extracted, the ScorPac analyzes the data and presents it in the format of the Supply Chain Council's Scorecard.

"While there are industry standards for supply chain performance, to date there has been no pre-designed process for companies to extract data from their SAP solution to benchmark themselves against these standards. ScorPac helps companies easily compare their supply chain performance to identify areas they should focus on improving," said Dr. Prakash Easwaran, Vice President, SAP Strategy & Solutions, Intelligroup. "We are pleased to leverage our vast knowledge of SAP solutions to create tools that help our clients to improve their processes."
