Actuate Ensures 100% Adoption of Enterprise Reporting Applications with Augmented Training Programs

South San Francisco, Calif. – February 17, 2004 – Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ: ACTU), the world leader in Enterprise Reporting Applications, today announced the launch of Actuate University, a set of programs designed to provide quality training and certification for Actuate customers, partners and employees. The mandate of Actuate University is to develop overall skills and knowledge within the organization to ensure 100% adoption of Enterprise Reporting Applications by target users, resulting in improved information flow and productivity throughout the enterprise. In addition, education programs provided by Actuate University accelerate the development and deployment of Enterprise Reporting Applications by educating IT staff on how to quickly create the right applications and easily maintain them.

Actuate University offers a single point of access for all Enterprise Reporting Application related training needs, and simplifies the mechanics of delivering training programs at any of Actuate’s regional training campuses, client locations or by Actuate Training Partners located worldwide. Training formats will be expanded beyond instructor-led, classroom delivery to include online learning.
