Adds Power Editor, Linux Support and Performance Tuning to Flagship Inferencing Software

Greenbrae, CA, February 23, 2004 - MindBox™, LLC, the worldwide leader in technology for automating complex business and decision processes, today announced a suite of technology enhancements to its ARTEnterprise™ 10.0 Product Family. The enhancements include a ground breaking knowledge editor, Linux support, and performance tuning advancements.

The technology enhancements to ARTEnterprise and the components were developed with the guidance of MindBox’s Customer User Group feedback, which ensures that the product maintains its technology leadership in the Financial Services marketplace. The most recent product enhancements include:

o Component Enhancements – Enhancements include performance advancements to reduce response time to subsecond levels, compatibility with the latest Power Editor features and general updates. Overall, enhancements will ensure that the components can scale with the business and handle multiple channels easily, all while being maintained by a business user.

o MindBox Power Editor – Enhancements include a new template editor to allow not only maintenance of the current rules, but easy addition of new rule sets and types, as well as the ability to change the layout and variables of the rules in the system, and maintenance of the domain object model. The Power Editor is a knowledge editor that allows line-of-business personnel to maintain, modify and add rules to the system without the aid of IT staff.

o New monitoring capabilities – Enhancements allow detailed analysis of Rete network performance; useful for tuning complex rule patterns to minimize transaction times.

o Linux Support -- ARTEnterprise on Linux has been developed on RedHat 9 on Intel hardware.
