Protecting a Worksheet
You can protect an entire worksheet or area of a worksheet. If you plan to distribute a DSS built in Excel, then it is very important to take actions to prevent users from changing the contents in inappropriate or incorrect ways.
When you protect a sheet, all of the cell and graphic objects are locked and cannot be changed. You can leave some cells that change or require user input unlocked.
You can also protect the structure and contents of an entire workbook. You can include a password so that user cannot turn off protection.
