from DSSResources.comNess Technologies launches IC2S - Integrated Command and Control SystemParis, France, June 14, 2004 - Ness Technologies (www.ness.com) today announced the launch of IC2S - Integrated Command and Control System, at Eurosatory 2004, the international exhibition for land and land-air defense (hall 6, stand F46/07). IC2S is a comprehensive command and control system that integrates and fuses different situation pictures from different army branches (ground forces, air force, navy, etc.), security and emergency forces. The system provides the connectivity capabilities to automatically share operational information among the army branches. IC2S provides commanders and other leaders with a real-time integrated situation picture for optimal decision making and operational planning, in peacetime (including training and exercises), in crisis and disaster management, in operations other than war and in full-scale conflict. Commanders can see friendly and enemy forces on digital maps, with a variety of information and reports. The system streamlines the chain of command and monitors the execution and dissemination of mission orders. Commanders can use video conferences for briefing and debriefing. "The success of joint military operations and crisis management depends today, more than ever, on the ability to rapidly generate reliable Integrated Situation Picture (ISP) in order to support decision making, coordinate actions, conduct operations, sustain the force, gain information dominance and shape the battlespace," said Michael Zinderman, President, Telecom & Systems Group, Ness Technologies. "IC2S meets these needs utilizing unique technologies developed by Ness." IC2S uses computerized tools for comparison between Own Forces Course of Action (OFCOA) and Enemy Course of Action (ECOA). It improves operational planning by gathering, filtering and fusing data, as well as using decision support tools for optimal operational planning. The system enables fast and accurate dissemination of mission orders, reports and data through secured communication networks utilizing Internet/Intranet technology in real time and receives status and location reports of all forces in real time. It enables to monitor execution of mission orders issued by the HQ to the various units. IC2S receives operational reports via operational e-mail and projects the information as a layer over the map.
