CompuDyne's Public Safety and Justice Division is selected by Prince George's County, MD to provide Computer Aided Dispatch System

ANNAPOLIS, Md., March 24, 2005 -- CompuDyne Corporation (NASDAQ:CDCY), an industry leader in sophisticated security products, integration and technology for the public security markets, was selected to provide a new $1.7 million Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system for Prince George's County, Maryland. Tiburon, a company with CompuDyne's Public Safety and Justice Division, is an industry-leading provider of automated public safety and justice systems which meet the demanding and complex needs of law enforcement, fire & rescue, corrections and justice environments.

Prince George's County has been a Tiburon client since 1999 and wanted to upgrade their existing system to take advantage of new hardware technology and enhanced functionality. The new CAD system will serve the county's police, fire and emergency medical agencies and will allow dispatchers to respond to and manage 9-1-1 calls more efficiently. Each dispatch position is equipped with a dynamic map that continuously displays the location of units and incidents and helps communication center personnel manage calls. In the case of a multi-agency response, information will be available to all dispatchers in real time.
