Sending an email does not guarantee that others have received and read it. If it is important, ask for an acknowledgement.
E-mail is not the best communication tool for everything. Sometimes a phone call or a FAX is easier, more effective and quicker.
E-mail is good for gathering information for decision making. It is also very good for communicating a solution to those who will implement it.
New tools, like Zaplets, may turn E-mail into more of a Group Support System.
